K.C. groaned and slammed her head on the counter of the diner. Brother patted her back as gently as he could without harming her. Sammie, the diner waitress, placed a plate of waffles, with large strawberries, plus strawberry syrup drizzled over top and whipped cream, swirled to perfection as the finishing touch. "DAMN IT ALL!!!"
An anguished cry echoes over the small town of Gnerra, its origins the 3rd level floor of an apartment building located near town square, thus breaking the peaceful air of the mid afternoon slumber. Exion Triad kicked several cans of paint, spilling its contents onto the floor. He tried to make out the mixture of colours that he inadvertedly mixed, but it still ended up looking as grey as ever. This infuriated him more as he stormed out to his bedroom, where he usually went to cool off.

The two sat together on a curb outside a quickie mart, a small dog yipping at them from the left and the store behind them had it's light flickering occasionally over their shoulders although the door had been locked as tightly as possible, with the owner of the establishment peeking out at them with his eyes the size of saucers in a bewildered and distrusting glare.
